A matrix formalism for decentration problems

Am J Optom Physiol Opt. 1976 Jan;53(1):27-33. doi: 10.1097/00006324-197601000-00005.

Abstract

A matrix approach to decentration problems is presented which reduces the common decentration problems of ophthalmic optics to simple matrix multiplications. The formalism also leads to an alternative derivation of Thomson's formulas for obliquely crossed spherocylindrical lenses.
